Will an HMF slip on for a 500 Outlaw fit a 525 IRS? Is it possible to make it fit?

Sounds like a great deal. If you decide to sell the old motor, let me know.

It's hard to find a good community that discusses these things. I just picked up an '09 for a really good price. I'm a long time Polaris fan, I used to race snowmobiles for them over a decade ago. It's nice to have another Polaris to play on.

I think the "Ride it 'til she blows" advice is the way to go.

Was curious if anyone ran the Big Gun EVO-R exhaust?  Also, is anyone is using the Big Gun Rev Box?  Are there significant gains?  Any problems?  I was thinking of getting one and was curious if anyone had any experience with them?  Let me know.

Well that didn't last long. The bulb I was giving to replace my original has official burnt out. Both the low and high filaments! Anyone find a good preferably cheap place to buy them yet? Or is there an HID kit for outlaws yet?

well i took mine all apart and put it back together, still does it , The problem is if you don't put the cv joint and the balls back in the exact same spot they came out they will click , because of different wear pattarns . the only way to fix is buy new hub asembly which is expensive . i just hope they dont break . going to buy new hub assembly next season.

Does anyone know what the exhaust sound decibel rating is on the stock exhaust system?

if it bogged out with the stock filter then you need to adjust your carb. the mix is either to rich or to lean.

i have a 525s but i think the swing arms are the same. there is a peg that sticks out from the swing arm.  a square spacer fits over it, then the caliper bracket fits over that. there should be about a quater inch to three eighths of vertical slop. no horizontal slop or (left to right). make sure the set screw in the caliper is adjusted properly.  spin the tire and tighten the screw until it stops the tire, then back it off a quater turn of half turn.if the disc isnt bent and everything is adjusted, ride it till she blows ! wish i could see it in person.  its hard to diagnose stuff like that without seeing it. are your brake pads wearing even ? it might just be bent somewhere. sorry i couldnt help u more.  good luck
